Have i a problem with immigrants getting benefit? damn right i have !! my parents grandparents etc all paid into the state coffers and someone who sneaks in here lives in a garage for 12 months can then get benefits?? are you totally thick Charlie? I work 46 hours per week on minimum wage and after paying rent, tax and council tax I have a lot less disposable cash than the majority of people on benefits do. I bet that the apparent 'poor' people walking this distance have mobile phones, flat screen tv etc. I remember getting a taxi a month ago and the driver said it is only the people on benefits keeping some Barrow taxi firms afloat getting taxis to town or to the pub. due to the excessive benefits paid in the uk, the only truly poor people are the likes of us that work.

mike, if benefit deserving poor people are on £1300 a month as you say then I for one do not have a problem with that & even if they do spend it on beer, mobiles, broadband, Sky HD TV, going from A to B in taxis but if you ,mike, look close enough you'll find that they are few & far between.
The vast majority of ordinary people wether employed or not need benefits of some degree because they are in poorly paid jobs anyway.
You mike, seem to have a problem with "allowing benefits for too many immigrants".
Do you seriously beleive that immigrants get loads of state benfits? Other than the right-wing drivelised Sun, Star, Daily Express & Daily Mail, where the hell did you get that venomous story line?
Also stand back & take a look at society if we did not have immigrants-we'd have no NHS, we'd have no doctors or surgeons, our roads & railways would not get built, there'd be no staff to work the hotels up & down the country & over the years succeesive governments have had to rely on migrants workers.

Well yes & a good place start catching all scroungers is a large house in London called Buckingham Palace & it houses' plenty of 'em & think of the taxpayers money that you'll save!!!!

As for the comments on benefit scroungers being propaganda smell the coffee you pc friendly moron i know people that smoke have sky tv use two taxis per day to get about have sky hd multi room and broadband and still go by taxi to the foodbank after buying their booze and cashing in on their £1300 month rent already paid benifit. so don't tell me i know nothing its idiots like you who have ruined this country with benefits for all too many immigrants and liberal policy's so out of touch with reality even you believe them!! A totally unacceptable case scenario for ordinary people having to trek miles for food in order to survive.
Some comments on this topic seem to be entered by people that seem to be under the immpression that taxi fares are payed for by the taxpayer to go to foodbanks, some are under the impression that they spend money on pets, pub, internet & mobiles.
Nothing could be further from the truth!!
The truth of the matter is that people are struggling financially as a direct result of government policy & to come out with drivel like this only diverts attention away from the real issues of society.
There are plenty of food stuffs being produced more so than there ever was & do not be conned by media story lines that farmers are having a poor harvest due to bad weather.
There is no such thing as a lack of food!
The problem lies not just with the coalition government but more importantly there is a lack of political will in order to feed everyone on the face of the earth.
