A MUM and dad were shocked when their five-year-old daughter found a cannabis pipe in a playground.

My child sarah age 4 and my niece 5 do also play on that park. You should not expect to be looking out for things like that. This am as a was with my 4 yr old on willie horne gardens in Barrow as per usual broken glass on path.my child is special needs which makes it more dangerous for her.

SORRY !!! but Dalton is the place where no one cares but the RESIDENTS. Dalton is the place where, you pay your council tax and take your choice. like it or lump it.We need to take back our streets , but the answer is not closing the parks to our children (we pay for them) We need the council, our local Councillor and the police to sit up and listen to us.come on Dalton start making your voice heard. we now need value for money.

Maybe if everybody stopped labeling these teenagers as 'scum', they would develop enough self respect to find something more meaningful to do of an evening, rather than sit around getting stoned in a park? I don't think a hash pipe in a playground warrants a moral panic just yet.

Being a local resident to the Play Park I can say its terrible the amount of drunk kids that are in the park every weekend. I have seen gangs of up to a hundred on some weekends.

Are we surprised this area is used for drug use? It was always going to be used for mischief as it will attract youngsters to an unsupervised area.Shut it at 1900hrs as kids should be at home doing their homework! I know someone who lives close to it and they say its chaos at night.

I can only say thank god it was not a cigarette but she had found, then there really would have been hell to pay! Yep, our do-gooder infested society really has got its priorities right!!
