Search for missing man last seen in Lake District

POLICE are appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of a man who has gone missing from Glenridding.

Richard Hayne
Richard Hayne, 61, has been missing since breakfast time on Wednesday.

Richard Hayne, 61, from Northamptonshire, has been missing since breakfast time on Wednesday, and was last seen at the Inn on the Lake, Glenridding.

He is described as 6ft tall, slim, with short grey hair. He was last seen wearing walking shoes, walking trousers with pockets (khaki in colour), a t-shirt and a jumper.

He is believed to be on foot, and police believe he may have been in the Bassenthwaite area.

Police are concerned for his welfare, and are appealing for anyone who may have seen someone matching his description to get in touch.

Anyone with information should call Cumbria Police on 101 and ask for the duty sergeant at Carlisle Police Station.
