Search for missing Barrow man continues

BARROW police have said they are not giving up in the hope of finding Tony Bond and reunite him with his family.
Searches which were conducted yesterday proved unsuccessful in gaining any information as to Mr Bond's whereabouts.
A thorough search of the area was done with assistance from helicopters providing overhead searches and mountain rescue teams.
Detective chief inspector Bob Qazi said: “We are determined to find Tony safe and well and we have a team of detectives working on the case over the weekend.
"We will be carrying out house to house inquiries in the Ormsgill/lower Hawcoat area this evening so would appeal again for people with any information to contact us and not to forget to check any outbuildings they have where Tony may be sleeping rough or has tried to gain shelter.”
Mr Bond, 40, is described as white, 5' 10" with mousey coloured hair and a rugged complexion.
Shortly before he was reported missing on November 9, he was seen in Abbotsmead Approach, Barrow, wearing a white polo top and blue jeans.
Police believe he was in the area of the roundabout in Schneider Road and Ainslie Street, Barrow, around 10.30pm and ask for anyone in the area at that time to cast their minds back to see if they remember if they saw him walking along the street.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Barrow police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
