Scouts launch quest for new Cumbria leader

THE search is on for a new leader for Cumbria Scouts as its current boss prepares to stand down.

Graham White, County Commissioner for Cumbria, is set to leave at the end of his term of office next year.

Cumbria Scouts consists of more than 3,400 young people who are supported by more than 700 adults involved in local Scouting.

The organisation is now looking for someone who can take it forward. Tim Leader, Cumbria Scouts County chairman, said, “We are in search of a senior volunteer with leadership and management experience who wants to do more in their wider community.”
