Have your say
Whilst i totally understand this stretch of rd needs resurfacing. I cannot understand why it takes 5 weeks just to do 700 meters of road and at a cost of £300,000. Why dont they just close the whole road for a week to 10 days and re do it day and night cutting the road closure and disruption time down 70 -80%? Just a thought.
5 weeks to re-surface 700m that is disgusting, in Japan after their major earthquake it took just 3 weeks to completely replace a motorway including 3 flyovers....Come on Barrow council, stop the red tape etc. and just get the job done.
