Power cuts still affecting 550 homes and businesses in Cumbria

Power cuts are still affecting 550 homes more and businesses across Cumbria.

Electricity North West said engineers will continue throughout the evening to restore remaining supplies as quickly as possible.

Yesterday morning it was reported by Electricity North West that as many as 10,000 homes were without power across the county.

This was reduced to 6,000 by 1pm yesterday .

Have your say

No electric? Thats shocking! or Not. Its not as half as the shock I got when I opened my dual fuel bill this morning. They said I was in credit but my monthly payment was going fron £79 to....£198! due to the winter period coming next. When I worked it out it gave a yearly bill of £2300!I normally pay about £900 a year.I must admit I was stunned but rang them and the lady was brilliant and rectified it.We agreed that it should have been about £98 a month and someone had added an extra 1...hundred pounds that is! Get on the phone if you have any issues,it could take 10 mins but they will sort it out. Dont sit and worry.
