Police seeking van men

AN investigation is under way after two men approached children in a van in Barrow.

The incident happened between 5.30pm and 6pm near to The Mall in Barrow town centre on Thursday.

The van is described as a blue Mercedes with a partial registration as F7.

The males are alleged to have told the group of four children – an 11-year-old local girl and three male friends – that they were rich and then asked if they wanted to look in the van.

The children ran off and police have said none of the children was touched by the men.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Barrow police on 101.
