Police probe claims of unprovoked Barrow attack

POLICE are investigating an allegation of an unprovoked assault outside a Barrow pub.

Police said there were reports a man was punched a number of times to the head and to the upper chest as he waited for a taxi outside the Barrow Arms in Cavendish Street, Barrow at around 2am on Saturday.

Police said the man was holding a large pizza in both hands at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Barrow police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
