Police investigate reports of dog hit by car in Barrow

POLICE are investigating following reports that a car collided with a dog in Barrow this morning.

Police believe a Jack Russell type dog was hit by a silver Rover 45 at 10.30am in Salthouse Road, near the junction with Frederick Street.

Officers want to speak to the owner of the dog which is believed to have been injured as a result of the collision.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Natalie Duke of Cumbria Police on 101, quoting reference number 111 of August 13.
