Police investigate Barrow street assault

POLICE are investigating an unprovoked assault on a woman in a Barrow street.

Cumbria Police said two men assaulted a woman in Geneva Street at around 5.35pm on Wednesday.

Police said the two men were white, in their mid twenties and around 5ft 10’’ tall.

The first man was of slim build with short blond hair. He was wearing a green tracksuit top and grey tracksuit bottoms.

The second man was of solid build with short dark hair. He was wearing a navy blue hoodie, which had a broad grey strip running down both sleeves, and navy blue tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cumbria police on 101.
