Police charge man in connection with armed stand-off

POLICE have today charged in connection with an armed stand-off

Police said Genus Zanzibar, 39, has been changed with two offences relating to weapons being carried in a public place following an incident at Thames Road, Walney, on Wednesday January 22, 2014.

Zanzibar will appear before Furness and Districts Magistrates Court today.

Police would like to thank the public for their patience and co-operation at the time of the incident, and their subsequent assistance with our enquires.
