Police attend emergency at Barrow town centre toilets

THREE police vans raced through Barrow town centre to attend an incident at public toilets yesterday lunchtime.
More than half a dozen officers spilled into the gents as a large crowd of onlookers gathered on Fell Street just before 1pm.
After several minutes they carried out a male who was put into one of the waiting police vans.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called at 12.52pm following concern for the welfare of a man at Fell Street toilets, Barrow-in-Furness.
"A 36-year-old man from Barrow was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly."
The man is currently in custody.

Laughable,i just wonder if the police officer who stands on Dalton road talking to the newpaper vendor was the first to attend???
In fairness none of us know who rang it in, what they reported and what information the operators in Penrith passed onto the local officers. Pretty certain the officers would only be responding to what they were told to do.
