By Gareth Jones
Cumbria County Council elections are due to be held on Thursday May 2 for the election of 11 councillors to serve the Barrow Borough Council area.
The deputy returning officer for the area wishes to invite election agents for the prospective candidates to attend a briefing session at Barrow Town Hall on Tuesday February 26 at 10am in order to provide information on standing as a candidate at this election.
Prospective independent candidates who intend to act as their own election agent may also attend this briefing session.
Nomination packs will be available for collection at this meeting. Election agents from political parties or independent candidates who wish to attend this briefing session are asked to communicate their contact details and attendance to electoral services at Barrow Town Hall. For more information or to confirm your attendance please ring 01229 876318 or email elecreg@barrowbc.gov.uk as soon as possible and by no later than Monday 25 February, 2013.
