Pet dog attacked by Staffie in Barrow woodland

POLICE are investigating after a Staffie attacked a pet dog in Barrow woodland.

The incident happened on Sunday August 3 in Abbots Wood at around 10am.

A 30-year-old man from Barrow was walking his Labrador with his family when a Staffordshire Terrier, mixed in colour, attacked the family pet, injuring the dog and possibly the hand of the man.

A man who was seen with a Staffy at the time is described as white and wearing a dark, long sleeved shirt.

The Staffie was not on a lead.

Anyone with information should ring Cumbria Police on 101, asking for Alex Potter and quoting log reference number 116 of August 3.

Alternatively, witnesses can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
