A German translator who admitted stalking Hollywood star Eddie Redmayne after she saw him in a London play is due to be sentenced.

Gaby Stieger, 49, repeatedly loitered outside the Oscar-winning actor's house in Southwark, south London, and sent him love letters.

Redmayne, 35, even spotted her in the crowd in Leicester Square at the premiere of a Harry Potter spin-off film, which he had a lead role in.

Stieger, of Colindale, north London, pleaded guilty to stalking at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

She was released on conditional bail and is due to be sentenced on Thursday afternoon.
