A BOOTLE school has been closed after being left without power.
A number of areas in Cumbria have been affected following storm Ophelia, with Captain Shaw's CofE School forced to close at noon today.
It is due to reopen tomorrow morning at 9am.
Engineers from Electricity North West have been working to restore power to homes and businesses around Cumbria this afternoon.
More than 18,000 properties were left without power last night as a result of ex-hurricane Ophelia, most of these in Cumbria.
