A WEEK of events has been lined up at Millom Library to raise awareness about how to stop people having slips, trips and falls.
Cumbria County Council is hosting a range of activities during Cumbria Falls Prevention Awareness Week from September 22 to 29. Around one in thee adults aged over 65 will have at least one fall a year and half will have more frequent accidents.
On Friday 22, physiotherapist, Louise Ball will be giving information, advice and walking aid checks from 10am until 11.30am. On Monday 25, Sonya Park from Millom Hospital and Denise Davison from Waterloo House Surgery will be promoting falls prevention ideas from 10am until 11am. On Thursday 28, another advice session will take place from 10am until 11am.
