A PLASTICS company has been given the go-ahead to expand its site.

Slacks, which is based in Millom, has been given planning permission to add a new structure to its site in the town by constructing a new storage and distribution building at its Borwick Rails base.

Slacks was set up in 1970 and has two directors, Robert and Adam Slack. Its business has included the manufacture of “brush-making materials” and the “extrusion of plastics”.

It has described its business as the “manufacture of other plastic products”.

The company’s planning application can still be seen online at the Copeland Borough Council website via www. copeland.gov.uk
