A TOWN'S railway museum is to close next week for a month-long refurbishment project.
Millom's Discovery Centre, at the town's train station, will be closed from December 20 for internal work and decoration.
The museum will reopen next year on Monday January 22 with the launch of a new shipping room.
In July, the centre launched their Rail Room, a heritage-based learning project unique to the North West.
The room was officially opened by Lady Diana Lewthwaite.
