A TRIAL is due to take place after a Millom man denied an alleged cannabis supply crime.
Robert Pendleton appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today (12), to face drug dealing charges. It is alleged that the 27-year-old possessed the controlled class B drug cannabis, with intent to supply it, on November 20 last year. The offence is said to have taken place at Sandside, near Milnthorpe.
During a brief court hearing, in front of Judge Tony Lancaster, Pendleton pleaded not guilty to the charge. A case timetable was agreed by the respective lawyers in the case.
A trial, lasting one to two days, is due to be held at the crown court in the week of August 21. In the meantime Pendleton, of Stonebridge Close, The Green, Millom, was granted bail by Judge Lancaster.
