A PENSIONER has been accused of six counts of gross indecency with a child.
John Stephens, 68, of Holborn Hill, Millom, appeared before Furness Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
It is alleged that he committed the crimes against a boy aged under 14 between 1985 and 1990 at Haverigg.
No indication of plea was given by the defence.
The case was sent for trial at Preston Crown Court on June 6.
Stephens was released on conditional bail until that date.
He must not directly or indirectly, by any means whatsoever, contact the alleged victim or any witnesses or otherwise obstruct the course of justice.
