A SUSPECTED paedophile has made his first appearance in court after being charged with child abuse.
Today Ryan Oliver Williams, 27, from Southport, went before Furness Magistratess Court.
The Merseyside man was charged with four counts of sexual activity with a Millom girl aged between 13 and 15 years old.
The offences are alleged to have taken place over a three-month period between August and October of 2016.
The defendant did not enter a plea, and the case has now been sent on to a higher court in Preston.
Williams was granted conditional bail, and will appear in Preston Crown Court for a pre-trial preparation hearing on Friday June 16.
