A MAN had to be given oxygen after a suspected gas leak at a domestic property.

Firefighters were called to Whitrigg's Close in Haverigg this morning after receiving reports of leaking gas at the house.

The fire crews were tasked with isolating the gas and administered oxygen therapy to one casualty who had been at the address at the time.

Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service were notified about the incident at 9.33am. Crews were in attendance for approximately 45 minutes.

Paramedics were also called to the scene.

It is believed the man was not badly affected.
