THE A595 at Duddon Bridge was closed yesterday due to localised flooding.
Highways Agency were in attendance and police asked motorists to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
The road is now passable.
Police issued a warning to drivers across the county yesterday advising people to be careful.
Drivers were asked to take care, slow down and not attempt to drive through flooded roads.
Please be aware when out on the roads today - due to heavy rain, the county is experiencing localised flooding. Drive with caution.
