A SERVING and a former prisoner, who both stand accused of causing a fellow HMP Haverigg inmate actual bodily harm, will have their case heard by the crown court.
Mohammed Rehan Awan, now a prisoner at HMP Preston, is accused of committing the assault on David Bromley on April 18 at HMP Haverigg. The 27-year-old pleaded not guilty to the offence during a video link hearing at Furness and District Magistrates Court yesterday (13).
His co-accused, Desmond Thomas Hollinshead, now lives in Church View Close, Chorley. The 28-year-old also denies the charge. The pair will appear at Preston Crown Court on Friday May 12.
