A DOG owner has been handed a £350 bill after he was caught failing to pick up his pet's dirt.
Zane Peacock, of Coniston Court, Millom, was spotted allowing his whippet to defecate outside the former Millom police station in Salthouse Road on March 3. The incident was witnessed by a Copeland Borough Council employee who works in the neighbourhood services department.
Peacock, 21, failed to show up at Furness Magistrates' Court this morning and was found guilty in his absence.
He was fined £230 and ordered to pay £100 costs and a £22 victim surcharge.
