CAMPAIGNERS have not given up the fight to save a pool after Cumbria County Council bosses said it would be demolished.
Cumbria County Council made the announcement on Friday after more than a year of tussling with pool supporters, who hoped the dilapidated facility, based at Millom School, could be renovated.
And campaigners will hold a protest against the decision on the school field on Saturday (September 15).
They feel Millom has been neglected by the county council
A Save Millom Pool group spokeswoman said: "This disregard will not be tolerated."
Cumbria County Council, whose independent review estimated the pool repair costs at £269,000, has said it will make land available on the school site for a new community pool to be built.
