Millom schoolgirls to hold walk in memory of their late friend

YOUNG friends of a nine-year-old Millom boy who died after having a serious asthma attack have organised a sponsored walk in his memory.

Rylan Cosgrove

Kyhanna Herdman and her cousin Bethany Pattinson, both 12, are tomorrow holding the event in Millom and Haverigg in memory of Rylan Cosgrove.

Tomorrow is the second anniversary of Rylan’s death. Rylan was a popular boy and keen rugby player.

Kyhanna and Bethany went to Black Combe Junior School with Rylan.

The girls wanted to hold a community event to raise funds for the asthma clinic at Millom surgery.

The walkers are meeting at Millom Square from 1.30pm and they were setting off at 2pm.

The girls have put posters up around shops in the community and they are hoping lots of young people will take part in the event.
