Man in Cumbria airlifted to hospital

A MAN has been flown to hospital from Cumbria after injuring his back.

The Pride of Cumbria Great North Air Ambulance was called to the incident in Buttermere after a man, believed to be in his late 40s, injured his back.

The man, from Derbyshire, was flown to hospital after being treated at the scene by paramedics.

It is understood the injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
