CONISTON’S Gill Irwin was thrilled to discover she was the lucky winner of our Waterstones competition.
Gill, of The Garth, Coniston, who won £200 vouchers to spend at any Waterstones, says: “It was a very nice surprise getting a call to say we had won the tokens. Me and my husband regularly enter Evening Mail competitions but this is the first we have won.”
The grandmother of four plans to spend the vouchers on her family: “We have two daughters and four grandchildren who all love books so I am sure we will get through the vouchers very quickly.
“My granddaughter is at university so she will be needing some new text books and my husband has already planned which railway books he is going to buy.
“We are really looking forward to spending the £200 and with such a large family, they will come in very handy for Christmas and birthdays.”
