Great North Air Ambulance
A WOMAN found collapsed in a Cumbria street has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to Kirkby Stephen at 2pm today following reports of a woman with a serious head injury.
The woman, aged in her 60s, was treated at the scene and then flown to the major trauma centre at James Cook Hospital in Middlesborough.
Her condition on arrival at the hospital was described as stable.
