A MAN who is believed to have fallen off his bike following a collision in the Lake District has died.
POLICE were called to a serious collision earlier this morning at Newlands Pass, Buttermere after a cyclist was found unconscious in the Lake District.
Part of Newlands Pass was closed for four hours while emergency services dealt with the incident but it is understood that the road has now reopened. The Great North Air Ambulance were also called to deal with the collision.
Officers are continuing to investigate the collision and anyone with information should contact police on 101 and ask to speak to PC1960 Parsons.
