Coniston Mountain Rescue Team were called out to assist two disorientated walkers on Saturday.
A man and a woman had become lost in low cloud and heavy rain as they climbed The Old Man of Coniston.
Nine members of the Coniston MRT were involved in the rescue, with the couple given dry clothing and being walked off the hill via Goats Water before being driven back to the village.
Rescuers used the SARLOC system to pinpoint the position of the couple on the fell by using the missing person's mobile.
The couple were found above Goats Hause, slightly north of Dow Crag.
The rescue team have reiterated previous recommendations that walkers take a map and compass to navigate in difficult conditions, using electronic devices as back ups.
A torch and whistle are also advised along with waterproof clothing and protective equipment.
