TRAVEL through a village along an 'A' road has been brought to a halt tonight due to roadworks.
The A593 in Coniston is affected by roadworks near The Ship Inn and drivers are having to make alternative ways to the village.
United Utilities are believed to be carrying out the works and they are listed on the company's website as taking place between today and Wednesday.
