A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned from the roads for 18 months after getting behind the wheel while double the legal limit.
Michael John Myers, of Waterside Close, Ambleside appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Barrow on January 24 where he pleaded guilty to driving while over the legal limit on January 8.
The 29-year-old was breathalyzed by officers after driving a Vauxhall Vivaro in Mcivers Lane in Ambleside and measured at 70 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is 35.
Myers was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 18 months and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £35 victim surcharge.
