A 13-year-old schoolboy was bombarded with abuse and spat at by a man as he tried to board a train.
Officers from the British Transport Police are appealing for information following the assault which took place on Wednesday July 18, at Windermere Railway Station.
Around 4pm on the day in question the victim was sworn at by a male suspect, who also called him a number of abusive names. The child later discovered spit on the back of his head.
CCTV footage has since been released in a bid to identify a man wanted in connection to the incident.
