POLICE have appealed for anyone who witnessed yesterday's collision on the A590, which saw a man airlifted to hospital with critical injuries, to contact them immediately.
A red Triumph motorbike driven by a 41-year-old man from Bristol and a red Citroen Picasso driven by a 78-year-old woman from Grange-Over-Sands collided at Levens between Brettargh Holt and the Meathop roundabout just before 2pm.

Reports of second accident on A590 in South Cumbria
The man was placed in a medically induced coma and given blood at the scene before being flown by air ambulance to Preston Royal Hospital.
His condition has today been described as critical but stable.
The 78-year-old driver of the Piccasso was also taken to Preston by an ambulance but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
An 85-year-old female passenger in the Picasso, also from Grange-Over-Sands, was checked by medics at the scene but did not suffer any injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision has been urged to contact PC396 by calling Cumbria Police on 101.
