A MOUNTAIN rescue team went to the aid of a woman who had fallen in the Lake District.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team attended the incident on Saturday at 12.30pm.
Fifteen members of the team went to help a lady in her sixties who had fallen while walking near the Walna Scar Pass.
The lady was treated for an ankle injury by team members before being stretchered from the fell and taken to the team’s base in Coniston by land rover ambulance.
She was then taken to Furness General Hospital by ambulance.
