A MOTORCYCLIST had to be airlifted to hospital - where he remains in a critical condition - following a crash in the Lake District.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which took place on the A592 between Aira Force and Glenridding at around 6pm on Saturday (5). The incident involved a Triumph motorcycle, driven by a 53-year-old man from Manchester, and a 41-year-old man from Penrith, driving a Ford C-Max.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to Preston Hospital where he currently remains in a critical condition. Anyone who witnessed the incident should call PS 2240 Radzan on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
