A MAN swiped a woman's handbag in Windermere after distracting her.
Police are investigating after a man knocked on a woman's door in Spooner Vale, told her somebody was at the rear of her address and then stole her red leather handbag when she went to check.
The incident happened on Wednesday at about 1pm.
The man is described as white, 5"8 to 5"9 in height, well spoken, wearing a beige jacket and about 50-years-old.
