A MAJOR Cumbrian road has reopened after a wagon collided with a tree.
A lane on the A595 at Foxfield was shut while emergency services attended the scene of the crash at around 3pm this afternoon.
The vehicle was removed but this then led to a tree falling across the road, causing a further blockage.
Lex Ward, who lives near to the site, said it had been a dramatic afternoon.
Speaking directly after the event, he said: "As far as I know there was another vehicle coming down the middle of the road which forced it off the road.
"They've dragged the vehicle out but when they did that a tree fell right across the road.
"We're still waiting for someone to come and clear the debris."
