A CASTLE'S bird of prey tourist attraction has passed its zoo licencing inspection with flying colours.
Muncaster Castle, near Ravenglass, retained its licence following the inspection by Copeland Borough Council, with a Defra approved vet visiting the castle and gardens in July.
Peter Frost-Pennington, director of Muncaster Hawk and Owl Centre, said: "We are so pleased to have received this official stamp of approval and we're glad that our good work at Muncaster, and further afield in conservation and education, has been recognised.
"This is a ringing endorsement for all our hardworking staff at Muncaster."
