A LAKE District business leader has been nominated for a prize at the Institute of Directors Director of The Year Awards.
Sue Coulson from Coulson Associates, based in Windermere, is in the early stage director of the year category. She was successful in the North West stage of the competition earlier this year and could now be recognised on the national stage.
She is among nine nominees from the North West and one of two from Cumbria, with Ross McMahon from Kendal Nutricare also in the running for an accolade.
IoD North West regional director Claire Ebrey said: “The region shows no shortage of great leaders, who work tirelessly to not only improve their own businesses, but to provide great jobs, to impact upon the community and to make the North West a great place to live and work.”
The national finals will take place on September 22 at the Lancaster London Hotel.
