IT is one of the UK'S top restaurants, and for that reason, eating at L'Enclume does not come cheap.
Lunch will set diners back £55 each - with an option of paying £49 on top for wine pairing.
A typical lunch would include the following dishes: Smoked cod roe, parsley, flatbread; pork and eel with ham fat; broth of turnip, hen of the woods and pork fat; aynsome’s offerings, herbs and flowers; valley venison loin and croquette, pear cooked in beeswax, beetroot; blackcurrant, buttermilk, oats; apricot kernel, cherry and yoghurt.
A 17-course dinner tasting menu costs £145 per person, with different wine pairing choices; classic (£80) or signature (£120).
Among the dishes in a sample menu online are: Raw scallops, pea with calamint; aged veal in coal oil, shallot and oxalis; native lobster with broad beans, and elderflower; butter poached turbot, courgettes, nasturtium and Goosnargh duck with cherries and smoked beetroot.
