A new city-style hot desk and office space has opened in Windermere, designed to provide temporary working space for holiday makers who need to keep on top of work.
Windermere Work is located within a former cake and biscuit factory near the centre of town and features desks and other facilities for freelancers and the self-employed, including a meeting space, manned reception area and "chill out lounge".
The decoration is intended to be fresh, contemporary and different to the options currently available in Windermere and the wider Lake District.
Gavin Preston, director of Windermere Works, said:“We wanted to offer a really active, inspiring space for those who need a professional base in which to keep on top of work while they are on holiday in the Lakes.
“Windermere Works is what we came up with and we are delighted with the finished product. It’s full of stylish industrial character, completely high tech and most importantly, will provide a really dynamic place for people to work.”
The property has been in the Preston family since 1992.
