BRITAIN'S biggest open water swimming event returned to Windermere this weekend as 10,000 swimmer's plunged into the largest natural lake in England.
Local residents and visitors from afar took to the cold waters of Windermere to swim distances up to 10km in various races.
The three-day event concludes today.
