A WALKER was airlifted to hospital in Barrow after injuring her leg in Great Langdale.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to assist Langdale/Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team at the top of Dungeon Ghyll at around 2pm yesterday.
The GNAAS doctor and paramedic team assessed and treated the woman for her leg injury before she was carried to the helicopter and flown to Furness General Hospital.
The flight took 10 minutes and she arrived in a stable condition.
