CREWS were dispatched to put out a vehicle fire yesterday.
Firefighters were called to Kendal Road in Windermere shortly after 5.30pm following reports of a car on fire.
On arrival, crews discovered the vehicle was well alight and two firefighters, both wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
The crew then used specialist cutting equipment and tools to access the battery to isolate it.
