A NINE-BEDROOM guest house in Windermere has been sold to a couple from Kent after being put on the market for £915,000.
Gregor Stewart and Emma Hawley put Rum Doodle guest house on the market after deciding to take on a new venture in the hospitality industry.
Priced at £915,000, the guest house, which has nine en-suite bedrooms and a three-bedroom owners' cottage, was sold by Colliers International to Steven and Tina Salt from Kent.
The property was built in 1879 and used as a doctor's surgery and home, before it was converted to a guest house in the 1950s.
Colliers International's associate director Haydn Spedding said the sale of guest houses in the Lake District had experienced a "very busy spring market".
